RAN energy optimisation · Site power · Consultancy
Beden Technologies is a Telecom & Energy Solutions and Consultancy in Somalia. Beden Technologies specialises in the development, delivery and commissioning of telecom systems, together with the power infrastructure underpinning the network. At the core of our portfolio is a vendor-agnostic RAN energy optimisation solution.
01
Our own vendor-agnostic system reduces network energy consumption across a multi-vendor RAN estate, with no degradation to coverage, capacity or user experience.
02
Complete power systems for tower sites, core facilities and institutional buildings — generation, storage and protected supply, sized to each site's autonomy requirement and failure mode.
03
Spectrum monitoring and QoS measurement for national authorities, giving regulators an independent, operator-agnostic view of what is actually on air.
04
Training needs analysis, 5G and Open RAN capability programmes and R&D testbeds, so technical capability remains with your team long after handover.

Telecom systems
Beden's own product is a vendor-agnostic RAN energy optimisation system, developed in house and maintained by our engineering team. It holds a network-wide view across all vendors: rather than tuning each vendor's infrastructure in isolation, it treats the radio access network as a single system — enabling operators to reduce consumption through the low-traffic hours without conceding coverage or network performance.
Our product
A single system spanning every vendor in your infrastructure. Reduced energy consumption across the active radio network, with performance held to the standards your radio team defines.
Cloud-native, containerised core network functions, dimensioned to your traffic profile.
One system across every vendor · Validated on your own network before any commitment

Site power infrastructure
Beden designs, supplies, installs and commissions complete power systems for telecom towers, core network facilities and institutional buildings, from generation through to protected load. The architecture differs by site and we do not treat it as interchangeable. At a tower the radio equipment runs on -48V DC and the battery floats permanently across the bus, so the supply is uninterruptible by construction. At a core facility the protected load is AC, and the UPS carries the load through to generator start.
Off-grid and weak-grid conditions are our design case rather than an exception — dust, high ambient temperatures, extended resupply distances, and delivered diesel costs that routinely exceed the price of the fuel itself.
03
Regulatory and spectrum governance
Beden supports the technical work behind national ICT policy: spectrum planning and cross-border coordination, licensing frameworks, and the systems through which authorities observe their own networks.
We deliver and commission complete monitoring capability for national authorities — fixed stations and vehicle-mounted units operating as one network, giving the authority live measurement of what is on air together with the means to locate an emitter and fix its position. We specify the system against the authority's own requirements, integrate it, prove it in acceptance testing, train the engineers who will run it, and support it in service. Our work follows ITU-R guidance and covers every technology in national use, from legacy cellular through 5G and broadcast.
We deliver the measurement infrastructure a regulator needs to hold operators to their licence conditions — independent readings the authority owns and can defend, rather than figures reported to it by the operators themselves. Specification, integration, acceptance testing, training and long-term support are ours to carry.
04
Consultancy and capacity building
01
A structured assessment of current engineering capability against the competencies the network will require, delivered as a costed workforce roadmap.
02
Programmes covering 5G core, Open RAN, network virtualisation and cloud-native operations, delivered by engineers who deploy these systems in the field. Available on site or remotely.
03
Environments in which regulators and operators can validate multi-vendor interoperability and trial pre-commercial use cases before they reach a live network.

About us
Our flagship product is a proprietary, vendor-agnostic RAN energy optimisation platform, developed and maintained entirely in house. Around this core software we engineer and supply complete telecom and energy systems, cloud-native core deployments and resilient site power architectures. Deployments are managed through a unified Network Operations Centre, giving our partners a single view of their country-wide infrastructure.
Alongside system delivery, we provide clean energy solutions and technical consultancy — from feasibility and design through to capability transfer — for operators, government institutions and enterprises running their own critical sites.
